Modalities

The primary approach I draw from is, mind and body experiencing, however I utilize other approaches to help my clients reach their goals. I find that it allows individuals to take a closer look at where they are in their lives in the present moment.
While I do explore past trauma, I find that understanding where you are in the present moment will allow a different perspective on who you are as an individuals and who you want to be.We can not change the past, but as we process your experience and move forward, you can grow into a healthier, emotionally intelligent individual.  The present can be challenging and my goal is to help you to see how far you've come and how to connect with yourself in a compassionate way. As you learn self-compassion, I am here to guide you in exploring what your deepest needs are. I am also here to guide you in the process of how to meet those needs.

Do you do consultations?
Yes! I do a free 20-minute phone consultation before scheduling your intake appointment. The first couple of sessions are a trial period. This allows us to decide if we are a good fit for each other.
How long does therapy last?

This is totally up to you. At the beginning of our work together we will explore therapeutic goals, it is totally okay if these goals change as we continue to meet. At first, I recommend meeting weekly to provide consistency, but once you reach your therapeutic goals we can discuss how you want to proceed with our work together.

How will I know we are a good fit?

It's different for everyone. Part of being a good fit is feeling comfortable with the therapist. This may not happen in the first session and can take some time to build. However, if after the trial period we feel that we are not a good fit for each other and I am not able to support you with your presenting issues, I will be happy to give you referrals to get you to someone who would be better suited to work with you.

Do you speak any other languages?
Yes! I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
